Jeff Ellison is the head football coach and campus athletic coordinator of the Permian Panthers. Ellison will begin his sixth season as head coach in 2023. Named 2-6A Coach of the Year in 2020 and 2022, Ellison is the first coach at Permian to win district titles in each of his first three years at the helm.
Ellison has deep roots in West Texas, growing up in Whiteface before playing college football at McMurry University in Abilene. After graduation he served as a graduate assistant on the McMurry staff. After a year at Estacado High in Lubbock, Ellison moved on to Breckenridge, serving under Blake Feldt.
Ellison spent seven seasons as the offensive line coach at Galena Park North Shore before reuniting with Blake Feldt at Permian in 2013.
